abstract |
A method of protecting a surface of a dual-joint elastomeric cuff comprising the steps of a) mixing (i) a first part mixture comprising an epoxy prepolymer in an amount of about 7.4-47.0 wt.% of the resulting coating mixture and an acrylic monomer in an amount of about 0.47-0.98 wt. % of the resulting coating mixture, and (ii) a second partial mixture containing a curing agent in an amount of about 8.8-17.6% by weight of the resulting coating mixture; a free radical polymerization catalyst in an amount of about 0.09-0.39% by weight of the resulting A coating mixture and a graft polymerization initiator in an amount of about 0.01-0.20 wt .-% of the resulting coating mixture, wherein the graft polymerization initiator is an ion derived from a salt selected from the group consisting of silver , Iron, cobalt or copper salts; b) contacting a surface of said dual-action elastomeric cuff made in a manner known per se from a chloroprene, a polyester or a mixture thereof with said coating layer mixture; and... |
