abstract |
A process is disclosed for manufacturing polyurethane (PUR) plastic mouldings with a solid, massive skin and a foamed core. The skin and the core are made of two different PUR reaction systems. A liquid, non-foaming PUR-RIM system is first dosed into the tool and after a dwelling time from 0.01 to 60 seconds, the second foaming mixture is dosed into the tool through the same casting channel. The thus obtained PUR moulding is ejected from the mould after foaming and consolidating. |
