Appts. is also claimed, comprising a fireproof container with inlets for the waste gas and flame and an outlet for the exhaust gas. Pref., the vessel is a tube with a waste gas inlet at one end, exhaust gas outlet at the opposite end and pipes passing through the tube wall for the flame inlet, or the opposite end of the tube to the exhaust gas outlet may be a flame inlet and the pipes passing through the tube wall may serve as a smoke inlet.
