abstract The use of fluorouracil (I) is claimed for treating nail fungus. Treatment is pref. with a combination of (I) and salicylic acid (II) pref. as a solution. The solution contains a film-forming polymer, pref. a copolymer (III) of butyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate. The solvent is pref. dimethylsulphoxide, ethanol and ethyl acetate. The soln. contains 0.5 wt.% (I) and 10 wt.% salicyclic acid.
