abstract Glass clear, shrinkable, film forming copolyamides of phenyl-indane dicarboxylic acid having maximum shrinkage at 65 degrees C. and 0% shrinkage at 40 degrees C., being suitable for use in tropics and for wrapping heat sensitive materials, made by condensing at 250-290 degrees C. a mixture of amino-undecanoic acid and a salt of phenyl-indane dicarboxylic acid and isophoronediamine under acid conditions. Warm or cold oriented fibres shrink by about 63% at 65 degrees C.
