titleOfInvention Process for the production of gridless print carriers
abstract Screen-less printing processes using all kinds of plates or cylinders normally used are obtained by coating plates with a thin gelatine layer so that too short an etching is not possible, and which contains CrO2 which unites with gelatine to the unswellable addition cpd. Cr2O3. gelatine. The amount of chromium salt is only 5-30% of amount normally used and the plate has no adhesive layer. Transparent inks may be used in multi-colour printing. Rough textiles may be printed without Moire formation. Art reproductions may be produced in good quality and long runs. In book printing illustrations may be printed on the same paper as the text.
