titleOfInvention Process for the production of printed articles with a pattern without a repeat on textile surface structures
abstract Fancy textile prints of batik-type patterns on cellulosic fibres (without register alignment) are produced by treating the goods with alkali and drying. They are then printed with one or more colours, each of which contains alkali-absorbing resist material, a reactive dye which can be fixed by a tow-phase a cold-delay or a two-phase quick-fixation process, and a reactive dye which does not respond to these processes. Alternatively, the patterns are produced by treating the goods with a relatively insol. alkali-absorbing resist material and drying. They are then printed with one or more colours, each of which contains alkali and mixtures of dyestuffs of the two types referred to above. The goods in each case are dried and the dyes fixed by steaming in combination with one of the two-phase processes mentioned above.
