titleOfInvention | Sulphated and hydroxylated unsaturated polymers and processes for their preparation |
abstract | To obtain resinous polymer products by reacting diolefins with nitrogen compounds in presence of sulphuric acid, oxamide, benzamide, sulphamide or sulphaminic acid are suspended in a solution of H2SO4 (85 to 105 equivalent % H2SO4) in an inert diluent in a ratio H2SO4 to amide of 0.75-5.0, and then 0.8 10 mole of an acylic, conjugated C4-7 diolefin that is branched at not more than one C-atom, are introduced into the suspension. The diene may also be cyclo'pentadiene or a 5-alkyly-cyclopentadiene-1,3 with 1-3 C-atoms in the alkyl group. All mole ratio figures are with respect to one mole amide. The conjugated diene may be butadiene-1,3, isoprene or piperylene. The water-soluble polymer salts are useful as surfactants. They are non-toxic and do not irritate the skin. In washing agent formulations, low-foaming mixtures are obtained with them. |
