abstract |
Backwashing water is introduced at a point above the base of the exchanger vessel, equal to at least 3% and preferably 5-15% of the total exchanger bed height. The inlet part of the equipment is preferably streamlined as well as the slit nozzle for the feed and discharge of the liquids. Uses are in water softening processes etc. |
