The dyestuffs are prepd. by reacting the azo compound (where D is an aromatic, carbocyclic or heterocyclic gp., X = H or -SO3H, R and R3 are H or lower alkyl gps; R1 is H or a substituent, R2 = H, halogen or alkyl, alkaryl, aralkyl, or aryl, ester of carboxylic acid, amide, alkyl or aryl sulphone gp.) The reactive dyes obtd. colour cellulosic fabrics in bright shades and can also be used for wool, silk, polyamide and polyurethane fabrics. They have excellent fastness and their reactive fluorine substituent makes them suitable for application by modern dyeing techniques. |
