abstract Compns. contng. camphor (II) for the treatment of exzema, boils, chilblains, piles, rheumatism, lumbago, aches, asthma, bronchitis, in humans or animals, sunburn in horses, foot and mouth, etc. A cream is prepd. from lanolin (30-70%), camphor (0.2-1%), and vaseline (to 100%). This is absorbed by the skin in 5-10 mins. (unlike other camphor prepns.) and no covering is needed, while no side effects are observed, as might have been expected, both from lanolin and camphor. A perfume, e.g. 2-10% lavender oil, may be added.
