Disclosed is a process for producing an alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon, the process comprising a step of producing an alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon having a methyl group from an aromatic hydrocarbon, carbon dioxide and hydrogen in the presence of supported metal catalyst particles and a crystalline aluminosilicate. The supported metal catalyst particles have a support and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Re, Pt, Rh, Pd, Ru and Cu on the support. |
