titleOfInvention A system, method and apparatus for monitoring a parameter in a borehole
abstract A system, method and apparatus for monitoring a parameter in a borehole. The system includes a production string that may be in the well, a sensor and a recording device located on the production line, and a processor in communication with the recording device. The recorder includes a scanner in communication with the sensor and the scanner is operative to sample the measured parameter at a sampling rate of 150 kHz to 10 MHz. The recording device also includes an information storage device in communication with the scanner and operative to store the samples obtained by the scanner. The processor is operable to monitor the parameter based on the samples collected by the scanner.
