abstract | Disclosed is a compressible and thermally conductive material in the form of a sheet comprising a plurality of elongated walls extending substantially parallel in an x-y plane, the elongate walls comprising particles of thermally conductive filler dispersed in a polymeric matrix material. Each of the elongated walls extends in a thickness direction inclined from a lower point to an upper point, with adjacent elongated walls being inclined in changing directions to a vertical line in the thickness direction. In some embodiments, the heat-conductive sheet comprises a front and back corrugated elastomer sheet, the corrugated elastomer sheet having a porosity of 0 to 25%; and wherein the corrugated elastomeric plate is optionally at least partially embedded in a sheet of polymeric foam having a porosity greater than 10%. Thermal management arrangements comprising such compressible thermally conductive materials are also disclosed. |
