| abstract |
An absorbent article that can be more easily adjusted to meet the needs of the individual wearer of the absorbent article. The absorbent article may have a cover layer, an outer layer and an absorbent core between the cover layer and the outer layer. The outer layer may have a garment attachment mechanism located on a garment-facing surface of the outer layer. The absorbent article may further have a protective layer overlying and engaging the garment attachment mechanism. The protective layer may be at least partially separated from the garment attachment mechanism. The protective layer of the absorbent article may be used by the wearer to provide an additional coverage area as deemed appropriate by the wearer of the absorbent article. |
