abstract |
A bifunctional oxygen reduction and water oxidation catalyst obtainable by a process comprising (a) adding a nitrogen-enriched carbon support material (NC) to a solution of metal ions complexed with one or more nitrogen ligands (L), (b) drying and pyrolizing the mixture (a) and (c) calcining the pyrolyzed material obtained in step (b) under an oxygen atmosphere and having a metal component (ML / NC) coordinated by NC and / or L and an NC coordinated metal oxide component (MO / NC) the nitrogen content of the resulting catalyst is at least 3% by weight, based on the catalyst. |
