titleOfInvention Vehicular emergency reporting device
abstract A vehicle emergency reporting device comprises a voltage down-adjusting unit (3), an auxiliary power source (4), a voltage step-up unit (5), a control unit (6), an emergency report execution unit (7), and a switching unit (6). The voltage step-down unit reduces a main power source voltage of a main power source to generate a reduced voltage. The voltage step-up unit increases an auxiliary power source voltage of the auxiliary power source to generate an increased voltage. The control unit is operated using the boosted voltage as an operating voltage when the decreased voltage is lower than the increased voltage. The emergency report execution unit receives an emergency report execution instruction from the control unit. If the decreased voltage is lower than the increased voltage, then the emergency report execution unit performs an emergency report using the increased voltage as the operating voltage. If the decreased voltage is lower than the increased voltage, the switching unit switches a power supply mode between a first mode in which the increased voltage is supplied to the control unit and the emergency report execution unit, and a second mode in which the auxiliary power source voltage is supplied to the control unit and the emergency report execution unit without being increased by the tension-up unit.
