Transgenic plant containing an expression cassette comprising in operative linkage a) an isolated polynucleotide encoding a promoter capable of enhancing expression in roots and shoots; b) an isolated polynucleotide encoding a plastid transit peptide; and c) an isolated polynucleotide encoding a full length phosphatidate cytidylyltransferase polypeptide is transformed; wherein the transgenic plant has an increased yield compared to a wild-type plant of the same variety that does not comprise the expression cassette. |
