A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprising a capacitor body (1) composed of alternately layered dielectric layers (5) and internal electrode layers (7), each dielectric layer (5) containing crystal particles (9) and grain boundary phases, wherein the grain boundary phases contain interface grain boundaries where 2 crystal particles (9) adjoin each other and triple point grain boundaries (11b) in which 3 or more crystal particles (9) adjoin each other, wherein the crystal particles (9) are perovskite-type barium titanate crystal particles represented by ABO 3 , wherein A is barium or barium, and calcium and B are titanium and the molar ratio A / B ≥ 1.003, and wherein 5% or more of the triple point grain boundaries (11b) contains a Si-Ba-O compound. |
