Process for the preparation of an ester, based at least on a. at least one alcohol component, b. at least one carboxylic acid component, as well as c. optionally further additives, as process components, comprising in a reactor the process steps: i. Providing the process components, ii. Reacting the process components to obtain an ester A, iii. optionally after-treatment of the ester A, wherein at least a portion of the process components in a flow outside the reactor are passed over a heat transfer surface as a film, wherein the ratio of the flow rate to the heat transfer surface is in a range of 0.25 to 3.0 m / h. |
