abstract The invention relates to a low-temperature, high-speed flame spraying system for preparing surfaces, in particular for thermal spraying of powdery spraying additive materials, and to an additional device for plasma torches for low-temperature, high-speed spraying with operating media consisting of gaseous and liquid fuels and an expansion nozzle (5, 26). A mixing chamber (28, X) with an injection system (2, 43, A1) for water is provided downstream of the burner (30, 36). The temperature of the hypersonic flame jet flowing out of the burner and flowing into the mixing chamber (28, X) can be reduced in an adjustable manner. The mixing chamber (28, X) is connected downstream of the expansion nozzle (5, 26).
