titleOfInvention Arrangement for positioning the shoulder straps of a seat belt in the longitudinal direction of the legs of a U-shaped shoulder yoke
abstract The arrangement for positioning the length-adjustable shoulder straps (12) of a seat belt for motor racing or a helicopter in the longitudinal direction of the legs (5), provided with friction-increasing tops (17), of a form-fitting, rigid, adapted to the upper body (7) of a vehicle occupant (1), U-shaped shoulder yoke (4) has a raised neck collar (6) which integrally connects the legs (5). The shoulder straps (12) are fixed locally behind the neck collar (6) and brought together in a central buckle of the seat belt on the chest side of the vehicle occupant (1). The mutually facing upper sides (17) of the legs (5) of the shoulder yoke (4) and the undersides (18) of the shoulder straps (12) ensure, at least in some areas, a relative displacement of the shoulder straps (12) and legs (5) in their longitudinal directions with an increase in friction , but provide a cross-shifting structure.
