titleOfInvention | Process for the fractionation of waste fats, in particular for the production of fuel |
abstract | The present invention relates to a process for the fractionation of waste fats which contain fat components and particulate contaminants, in particular for the production of fuels from the waste fats, in which a liquid organic auxiliary is added to the waste fats and mixed therewith which forms a single-phase solution with the fat components , in which particulate contaminants to be removed do not dissolve and which has a viscosity and density which enable the particulate contaminants to be removed to be separated from the solution by means of a mechanical solid-liquid separation process, and in which the particulate contaminants to be removed from the solution be separated using a mechanical solid-liquid separation process. With the present method, a sharp separation between fat components and contaminants is achieved. The solution obtained can be used directly or after removal of the auxiliary substance as an impurity-free fuel for internal combustion engines and combustion systems. |
