Thermowell assembly, which is under vacuum and charged with a working substance, with: an evaporator adapted to vaporize the working substance and having a closed front end; a heat exchange condenser fluidly connected to the evaporator, the condenser being configured to condense vaporized working fluid received from the evaporator and a reservoir higher in level than the evaporator; to collect liquid working substance therein; a discrete, impervious fluid return passageway which allows the flow of liquid working substance from the reservoir to the evaporator by gravity; the fluid return passage extending through the evaporator and terminating near the closed front end thereof; and a flow modifier positioned in the evaporator causing turbulence in the flow of the working substance in the evaporator; where the flow modifier ensures that unevaporated liquid that is mixed with the vaporized ... |
