titleOfInvention Fuel cell power plant with reduced volume of free water
abstract Fuel cell power plant with a reduced volume of free water, comprising: a. at least one fuel cell for generating electrical current from reactant flows of reducing fluid and process oxidant; b. a coolant system including a sealed cooler plate that is in heat exchange relationship with the fuel cell, which conducts antifreeze coolant through the cooler plate, a coolant reservoir in fluid communication with the cooler plate that stores the antifreeze coolant, and a coolant circulation line that conducts the antifreeze coolant for flowing from the coolant reservoir through a coolant heat exchanger through the cooler plate and back to the coolant reservoir; c. a fuel cell water collector in fluid communication between the fuel cell and the coolant system, which directs water from the fuel cell to the cooling system; d. A water vapor transfer system which is arranged in fluid communication with the coolant reservoir and which receives the antifreeze coolant from the reservoir and transfers water vapor from the antifreeze coolant; and e. a fuel cell start-up system, which is arranged in fluid communication with the coolant reservoir and with the fuel cell, has a start-up heat exchanger which ...
