abstract | The present invention relates to a coated material for inkjet printing, the coating, based on its total weight, containing more than 0.1% by weight of at least one polyvinyl acetal (I) which can be obtained by a process in which a mixture of A.) 50.0 to 99.99 parts by weight of at least one polymer (A), which a.) 1.0 to 99.9% by weight of structural units of the formula (1) b.) 0 to 99.0% by weight of structural units of the formula (2) c.) 0 to 70.0% by weight of structural units of the formula (3), each based on the total weight of the polymer (A), and B.) 0.01 to 50.0 parts by weight of at least one hydroxy compound (B) of the formula (4) With C.) reacting at least one compound (C) of the formula (5), wherein 0.0005 to 0.5 mol of compound (C) are used per mole of hydroxyl groups which contain the polymer (A) and the hydroxy compound (B) in total. The radicals R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , R 9 and R 10 and the index n are defined as described.
