A drivetrain for a hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a transmission, and an electric machine in between. The electrical machine comprises a stator housing, a stator, which is accommodated in the stator housing, and a rotor, which is installed in a radial orientation within the stator and coaxial to its axis. The electric machine further includes a first clutch that is mounted between the motor and the rotor and a second clutch that sits between the rotor and the transmission. The first and second clutches have non-ferrous clutch plates that can be embedded in hydraulic fluid. The electric machine has a first working mode in which the electric machine delivers torque to the motor, a second working mode in which the electric machine is driven by the motor, and a third working mode in which the electric machine delivers torque to the transmission , The first and the second coupling are accommodated in the radial alignment in the stator housing, axially to its longitudinal axis. |
