abstract | The invention relates to a thermoplastic / filler composite, obtainable by mixing at least the following of the components a) 30 to 97% by weight of one or more thermoplastic polymers which at least partly have a first functional group, b) 2 to 55% by weight of at least one inorganic filler selected from the group consisting of natural and artificially produced layered silicates, c) an onium compound with identical or different organic substituents R, where at least one organic substituent R has a main chain with a length of 6 to 25 atoms linked to one another and the other substituents R are a main chain with a length of 25 atoms, d) an organic coupling agent with a second and a third functional group which are connected by a main chain, the second functional group being selected such that it can form a covalent bond with the first functional group of component a), and the third functional group is selected so that it can interact with the inorganic filler b), the proportion of the sum of the onium compound c) and the coupling agent d) in the total mixture of 5 to 300 mol%, based on the cation exchange capacity of the layered silicate, and the ratio of the coupling agent d) to the onium compound c) of 0 , 05 to 20.
