abstract Method for the determination of sporadic breast cancer risk, comprising the following steps: (1) Plant of lymphocyte cell culture from heparin-treated peripheral blood (2) mitogenic stimulation of the cell culture immediately to within 6 hours after culturing, (3) addition of a cytokinesis inhibitor after 40 to 50 hours after culture is applied, (4) termination of the culture after 12 to 24 hours after addition of the cytokinesis inhibitor by centrifugation and subsequent hypotonic treatment and production of a fixed cell suspension, (5) preparation of a cytological preparation, (6) Determination of the micronucleus rate in binuclear cells and (7) Risk assessment for the occurrence of sporadic breast cancer wherein the risk assessment is done by comparing the spontaneous rate of micronuclei appearance in binuclear cells of the subject with the spontaneous rate of micronuclei appearance in control groups.
