titleOfInvention Method and device for generating aerosols with a defined electrostatic charge, in particular charge-free particles from atomization processes
abstract The invention relates to a method and a device for generating aerosols with a defined electrical charge, in particular electrically neutral particles from atomization processes. A device for generating drops by atomization or jet decay is equipped with an electrode in the vicinity of the outlet opening of the liquid jet. By applying an electrical potential to the outlet opening, the emerging liquid jet is polarized such that the drops tearing off at the end of the jet have the desired charge or are charge-free.
