The invention relates to a method for producing wood fiber insulation boards with a fiber production similar to MDF. The fiber is glued exclusively with an anhydrous binder belonging to the group of reactive isocyanates. Steam or a steam / air mixture is introduced into the fiber mat compacted to the desired bulk density, which is regulated in such a way that the binder hardens completely while the state of compaction is maintained and the compacted fiber mat receives an equilibrium moisture content of about 12% without drying. |
