A restriction endonuclease with a DNA binding site is proposed, prepared from a restriction endonuclease which has a C- and N-terminal domain and two DNA binding sites, by proteolytic cleavage into the two domains or by cloning the gene segment coding for the domains and expression the domains and selection of the endonucleolytic domain that has a DNA binding site. Furthermore, a method for the production of the restriction endonuclease is claimed and its use. |
