abstract |
It becomes an apparatus for retransmitting data upon a retransmission request from a receiver by a transmitter in a CDMA mobile communication system that includes a turbo encoder at a predetermined encoding rate, and initially transmitting systematic bits and parity bits obtained by encoding the Data obtained by the turbo encoder is described using a modulation mode among a variety of modulation modes. A controller determines a modulation mode to be used between the transmitter and the receiver in response to a retransmission request. A distribution device distributes encoded bits obtained by encoding the data at the encoding rate into systematic bits and parity bits. A selector selects encoded bits that are transferable by the particular modulation mode from the systematic bits and parity bits in the initial transmission if the particular modulation mode differs from the modulation mode used in the initial transmission. A modulator modulates the transferable coded bits into modulated symbols according to the particular modulation mode. |
