abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of macrocyclic ketones of the general formula I. in which X represents a mono- or polyunsaturated or saturated C 10 -C 17 alkyl radical which can optionally be substituted by a C 1 -C 6 alkyl radical, by direct cyclization of compounds of the general formula II in which R 1 , R 2 can each independently be the same or different and denote hydrogen or C 1 -C 6 alkyl and X has the meaning given above, in the gas phase over a heterogeneous catalyst. |
