abstract |
In a continuous process for the gentle production of solvent-free polyacrylate hotmelt adhesives using the solvent, the following steps are carried out: DOLLAR A - polymerization of a pressure sensitive adhesive in solution, the solvent having a low vapor pressure; DOLLAR A - continuous mixing of the polymer solution with antioxidants and boiling-free preheating of the mixture under increased pressure; DOLLAR A - concentration of the polymer solution to a residual solvent content of less than 0.1% by weight in a concentration extruder under the influence of vacuum and elevated temperatures; DOLLAR A - condensation, collection and reuse of the solvent drawn off in the extruder; DOLLAR A - Compounding the above-mentioned solvent-free hotmelt adhesive with tackifying resins, fillers, stabilizers, crosslinking agents or other additives in a second extruder at a moderate melting temperature; DOLLAR A - Transfer of the fully mixed, solvent-free self-adhesive to a subsequent coating unit. |
