Hydrophilic surfaces |
abstract |
The present invention relates to surfaces with hydrophilic properties and a method for producing such surfaces. DOLLAR A By means of the method according to the invention, surfaces are imparted with hydrophilic properties by applying a coating with hydrophilic silica. The surfaces can be textile surfaces or polymer surfaces, but also metal or wood surfaces. The silica can be permanently bonded to the polymer surface or can be present as an unfixed coating. The hydrophilic silica according to the invention is applied in a very simple manner by applying a suspension of silica particles in a solvent to the surface in question and then removing the solvent or fixing the silica particles to the surface by means of a carrier. DOLLAR A Surfaces equipped with the hydrophilic surfaces according to the invention can e.g. B. condensation of dehumidifiers or foams or sponges. |
