abstract The cathode according to the invention for use at high temperatures comprises an oxidic material which has an electrical conductivity of more than 10 S at 700 to 1000 ° C. and a K¶2¶NiF¶4¶ layer structure in which at least one perovskite layer is present another layer adjoins that has no perovskite structure. Furthermore, the oxidic material advantageously shows good thermodynamic stability and an adapted thermal expansion behavior to electrolytes used in this temperature range. This oxidic material is therefore particularly suitable for the production of cathodes in a high-temperature fuel cell.
