A battery module is provided that includes a multi-layered fire protection layer capable of controlling a heat transfer phenomenon due to a battery fire. The battery module includes a plurality of secondary battery cells housed in a case member, wherein a secondary battery cell of the plurality of battery cells includes an electrode assembly in which a plurality of negative electrodes and positive electrodes are alternately stacked with a separator interposed therebetween, and a bag case that covering the electrode assembly, wherein a fireproofing multilayer is interposed between the plurality of secondary battery cells, and the fireproofing multilayer includes a heat absorbing layer and fireproof layers stacked on opposite surfaces of the heat absorbing layer. |
