titleOfInvention Method for the automated online detection of at least one biological target substance in a liquid and online analysis device
abstract The invention relates to a method for the automated online detection of at least one biological target substance in a liquid, in particular water or waste water, using an online analysis device, comprising: - transporting a predetermined first volume of the liquid via a sample feed line into a reaction chamber of a process unit of the online analysis device; - Concentration of biomolecules contained in the first volume of the liquid by binding to a plurality of particles in the reaction chamber; - transporting the particles with the biomolecules bound thereto into a detection unit of the online analysis device, the detection unit having a first microfluidic unit and a second microfluidic unit which can be fluidically connected to the first microfluidic unit; - Releasing and/or isolating nucleic acids from the biomolecules bound to the particles; - transporting an eluate comprising the released and/or isolated nucleic acids into the second microfluidic unit; - amplification of a target nucleic acid in the second microfluidic device; - detecting a measurement signal which represents a measurement variable dependent on the progress of the amplification and/or on a number of copies of the target nucleic acid in the second microfluidic unit, and - Qualitative and/or quantitative determination of the target substance in the sample based on the detected measurement signal by control electronics of the analysis device. The invention also relates to an online analysis device for the automated implementation of the method.
