abstract The invention relates to a method for adsorbing condensation heat in a heating system (7), comprising at least the following steps: a) bringing an exhaust gas stream (2) from the heating system (7) into contact with a light-sensitive hydrogel (1) in a condensation heat exchanger (6), b) transfer of the condensation heat adsorbed by the light-sensitive hydrogel (1) to a heat carrier of the heating system (7), c) putting a light source (31) into operation, the light (3) from the light source (31) causing the light-sensitive hydrogel (1) to contract. Appropriately suitable heating systems are also disclosed.
