abstract A phosphorescent organometallic complex and its use are provided. The metal complex has a ligand having a structure represented by a formula 1 and can be used as a light-emitting material in an electroluminescent device. These novel metal complexes can not only maintain high device efficiency and low voltage in electroluminescent devices, but also enable these devices to have a narrower half width so that color saturation of light emitted by these devices is greatly improved, thereby providing better performance the device is provided. An electroluminescent device and compound formulation are also provided.
