Passivating cover layer on an electrode of an electrochemical cell |
abstract |
The cover layer (SEI) on the active materials of electrodes of electrochemical cells should be able to be built up more homogeneously and more quickly. For this purpose, a method for producing a passivating cover layer (SEI) on an electrode of an electrochemical cell is proposed. Before an electrolyte is filled (S1) into a housing of the electrochemical cell, the electrolyte is mechanically processed (S2). This is preferably done using a disintegrator (3). After the electrolyte has been filled in, the passivating cover layer (SEI) forms on the electrode. The mechanical preparation of the electrolyte improves the wetting of the electrode or the active material, which means that a more homogeneous top layer (SEI) can be achieved. |
