titleOfInvention Devices for enucleation of intracorporeal tissue areas
abstract A device is described for the enucleation of intracorporeal tissue areas, in particular the prostate, with a probe, at the distal end of which at least one freely accessible electrode body is attached to which electrical energy can be applied via at least one electrical line running in the longitudinal extension of the probe. The invention is characterized in that the electrode body has a dome-shaped electrode surface and has cross-sectional areas oriented orthogonally to the longitudinal extension of the probe, the area sizes of which increase steadily along a first axial section containing the distal tip end of the electrode body with increasing distance from the distal tip end, and that the cross-sectional areas are each delimited by a peripheral edge that is continuously differentiable at each point. The invention is also characterized in that the probe including the electrode body is designed to be mechanically stable, so that pressure and bending forces can be transmitted to the tissue to be separated by means of the probe.
