A grilling device includes a screw conveyor system, a heating element, a blower and a temperature control system. The temperature control system includes at least a first temperature sensor inside the fire pot and a second temperature sensor in a cooking chamber above the fire pot. The heating element can also serve as the first temperature sensor. A method for controlling the temperature of the grill may include receiving temperature feedback information from one or more of the temperature sensors and adjusting the energy for the auger system, the heating element, and the fan. The thermo-control system produces cold smoke that is produced by the burning of lignin in solid wood fuel while minimizing the temperatures in the cooking chamber. |
