titleOfInvention | Microscopy system and method for operating a microscopy system |
abstract | The invention relates to a microscopy system for the simultaneous observation of fluorescent and non-fluorescent areas of an object, and to a method for operating the microscopy system. The microscopy system comprises microscopy optics (14) which are configured to image an object plane through an observation beam path (22) on an image plane (19); an observation filter (23) which can be arranged in the observation beam path (22); at least two light sources, one of which is provided for excitation of a fluorescent dye in the object and at least one other for rendering non-fluorescent regions of the object visible; and a controller configured to individually control the light sources. By suitable configuration of the observation filter (23), all light sources can be operated with a minimum operating current, which ensures the stability of the light generated by the light sources. Furthermore, the color rendering of the non-fluorescent areas can be adjusted by the individual adjustability of the light sources. In addition, the light sources can be set so that fluorescent and non-fluorescent areas appear almost equally bright. |
