abstract |
Manufacturing process for potassium sulfate and NaCl vacuum salt from polymineral crude salts with the following stages: 1. Grinding to <5 mm 2. Cold leaching of the chloride minerals using cold water 3. Crystallization of KCl and NaCl from the chloride extract solution by evaporation 4. Hot leaching of MgSO 4 from the sulfate minerals kieserite and langbeinite 5. Conversion of KCl and MgSO 4 to K 2 SO 4 6. Calcination of polyhaltite and extraction of K 2 SO 4 , MgSO 4 for K 2 SO 4 production 7. Production of CaSO 4 . 0.5H 2 O. The process does not require any salt heaps and no solution discharge if MgCl2 from the K 2 SO 4 process is recycled or used as backfill material. |
