titleOfInvention Process for the leaching of rare earth elements.
abstract Leaching of rare earth elements (SEE). The modern metallurgical industry uses aggressive substances that can damage equipment and the environment, and especially aggressive acids, for the leaching of rare earth elements. The new process uses no aggressive acids as a leaching agent, but ferric chloride, which causes no damage to the environment. The process does not require expensive equipment, it is fast and effective. In the course of the process, the recoverable components are converted by means of iron trichloride at the ratio solid: liquid = 1: 5 at a temperature of 80-100 ° C and pH of 1-3 in the water-soluble form. By repeated processing it is possible to obtain the desired degree of leaching of up to 100%. The method is applicable to the leaching of rare earth elements from SEE-containing substances which have been pre-crushed in a known manner to at least 75 microns particle size. Under SEE-containing substance is understood here any substance containing rare earth elements.
