titleOfInvention Bite chewing gum, bite protection set and individualized manufacturing process therefor
abstract The present invention provides a bite chewing gum (1) which is designed to be arranged between molars (B OK ) of the upper jaw (OK) and molars (B UK ) of the lower jaw (UK) of a set of teeth. The chewing gum (1) has a viscoelastic chewing material with shape memory properties and in its initial form has a height (h) that is selected so that in a usage arrangement of the chewing gum (1) between the molar teeth (B OK ) of the upper jaw (OK) and the molars (B UK ) of the lower jaw (UK) under the action of jaw-closing pressure and a chewing temperature, a predetermined minimum distance (a) between the chewing surfaces of the molars (B OK ) of the upper jaw (OK) and the chewing surfaces of the molars (B UK ) of the lower jaw ( UK) remains. Furthermore, a bite protection set comprising a bite chewing gum and a method for the individualized production of a bite chewing gum (1) are disclosed.
