abstract |
The technology disclosed herein relates to a thermally activatable safety valve for a pressure vessel and to a pressure vessel system having at least two pressure vessels. The pressure vessel system comprises i) a pressure relief unit with a valve for pressure relief of the pressure vessel; ii) at least one triggering line extending away from the pressure relief unit; and iii) at least one bursting direction. The triggering line, the bursting device and the valves are fluidly connected and form a common fluid system. The valve is configured to transition from a first closed position to a second open position for pressure relief when the pressure in the fluid system is less than an actuation limit pressure. The bursting device is arranged to effect a pressure relief in the fluid system if the pressure in the fluid system exceeds a triggering pressure. |
