abstract |
A magnesium alkoxide catalyst support and a process for its preparation are provided and the use thereof is indicated. The process for producing the magnesium alkoxide catalyst carrier comprises the steps of mixing a metallic magnesium, a monohydric alcohol, a halogenating agent and a surfactant at 0 ° C to 90 ° C under an inert gas atmosphere and then washing the obtained product with an inert solvent around the magnesium alkoxide catalyst carrier to obtain.
